About their ministry
Daniel and Tiffany Melton have served as missionaries with Evangelistic Faith Missions since August of 2002. They served as missionaries for 13 years, then moved home to South Carolina in 2015. While living there, Daniel made extensive visits to the field 4 to 5 times a year hosting medical teams and continuing to mentor our Honduran ministry staff. In December of 2020 the Melton family returned to live in Honduras. They continued building and maintaining self-sustainable projects while using them to further advance the gospel. These projects are supporting local salaries, utilities and building upkeep and maintenance.
The Meltons continue to establish operations at the new medical clinic and surgery center on EFM’s ministry property in San Luis. Upon their return to Honduras the focus has been to rebuild the clinic, Clinica Luz y Vida, because of earthquake damage. Part of the development of the clinic includes finding personnel to fill the requirements of the government and train them to care for their people and share the love of Jesus. Another goal is to build an auxiliary network of medical professionals from the United States to serve in wider areas of expertise. They bring surgery teams to do surgeries needed in their region, as well as general medicine teams to bring medicine and help to villages outside of San Luis. These opportunities open doors to share Jesus with a larger group of people.
Born in Ohio, Tiffany was raised in a pastor’s home. She was saved and then sanctified in 1997 in Martinsburg, Ohio, at Faith Holiness Church. She was in the fifth grade when she felt that the Lord was calling her to be a missionary, and at sixteen, she felt that the Lord wanted her to be a missionary nurse.
Born in Louisiana, Daniel was 13 when he gave his life to the Lord at a camp in Florida. In 1997 while Daniel was in college at Faith Bible School, the Lord sanctified him. In his early teens Daniel felt that the Lord was calling him to serve in a foreign country. In college, God confirmed that call. Far from being a reluctant missionary, Daniel says, “It is still hard to believe that we are finally getting to do what we have been called to do.”
Daniel received EMS and Nursing Assistant training in South Carolina. He received a 2-year diploma in Biblical studies from Faith Bible School in Mitchell, South Dakota and earned a private pilot’s license.
Tiffany attended Penn View Bible Institute for a year, taking as many missions classes as possible. She studied nursing at Central Ohio Technical College in Ohio before marrying Daniel and transferring to Greenville Technical College in Greenville, SC where she finished her associate’s degree in nursing. Tiffany also holds a certificate in midwifery.
Daniel preached on Indian reservations in South Dakota while in school, and Tiffany participated in helping in leading church services, teaching Sunday school, and assisting in outreach children’s ministries.
Daniel and Tiffany have five sons and one daughter: Kendrick, Kaleb, Kenton, Kaden, Kysen and Kleanna.

"But I must explain to you how all this mistaken idea of denouncing pleasure and praising pain was born and I will give you a complete account of the system, and expound the actual teachings of the great explorer of the truth, the master-builder of human happiness. No one rejects, dislikes, or avoids pleasure itself, because it is pleasure, but because those who do not know how to pursue pleasure rationally encounter consequences that are extremely painful. Nor again is there anyone who loves or pursues or desires to obtain pain of itself, because it is pain, but because occasionally circumstances occur in which toil and pain can procure him some great pleasure. To take a trivial example, which of us ever undertakes laborious physical exercise, except to obtain some advantage from it? But who has any right to find fault with a man who chooses to enjoy a pleasure that has no annoying consequences, or one who avoids a pain that produces no resultant pleasure?"
